Home / Leading through the PeriodsMr. Tran Huu Khoi has significantly contributed on the establishment of the Faculty of Economics of Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh city. With the role of Vice-President of the university, he had greatly encouraged and pushed the documental process for the establishment of the Faculty of Economics.
Mr. Truong Hoai Chau was the first Dean of Faculty of Economics of Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh city, who developed the strategies for the development of the faculty. During the period of 12 years as a Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Truong Hoai Chau together with staff of the faculty had educated the first student cohort of Economics Bachelor for Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh city.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Ngoc had been one of the Dean who has spent most of his life time with the Economics Faculty. Mr. Nguyen Anh Ngoc had given lectures for students from first student cohort to the 40thcohort. He was a Dean of Faculty of Economics in the period of 1990 and 2002.
Dr. Pham Thanh Binh has been a lecturer since the establishment of Faculty of Economics. Before retiring in 2013, he has greatly contributed for the education of the faculty. He involved in the management tasks over 20 years. Since 1985, Dr. Pham Thanh Binh was a Vice Dean and appointed as Dean in the period of 2002 and 2007.
Dr. Thai Anh Hoa was a lecturer – former student with many years working at the Economics Faculty. After the graduation in 1980 (the first student cohort) until his retirement in 2016, he has greatly contributed for the education. During this working period, he has been the Head of Agricultural Economics Department over 20 years. In addition, he had been appointed as a Vice-Dean of the faculty in the period of 1998-2002.
As the former student of third student cohort, Dr. Phan Thi Giac Tam has decided to work as lecturer for Faculty of Economics since 1982. Over the working period of 31 years until her retirement in 2013, she had been given the lectures and guided many students in various student cohorts. One of her students has been succeeded in their careers and largely contributed for the society. Besides of education works, Dr. Phan Thi Giac tam was also the main investigator of many projects, research programs both at national and international level. As such, many students have gained knowledge and useful experience when they assisted in her projects.
Dr. Nguyen Van Ngai was the former student of sixth student cohort of the Facultyof Economics of Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh city. After the graduation, he decided to work at the Faculty until 2018. With over 18 years working at the faculty as lecturer, Dr. Nguyen Van Ngai had been appointed as Vice-Dean of the faculty in the year of 2002-2007, and later as the Dean in the year of 2007-2018.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong worked for Economics Faculty since the year of 90s. She had contributed for the faculty over 30 years until her retirement in 2016. She has provided lectures to many students in the Agricultural Economics and Business Administration Departments. Besides the role of a lecturer, she was also a Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics in the year of 2007-2016.
